The management plan and resulting action plan are due to be updated. Paddock Mound is fortunate to be part of the Mercian Woodland Biodiversity Project, and an initial site assassment has been undertaken which will assist in revising the management plan for our Local Nature Reserve for the next five years.
In May 2015, Ketley Parish Council which at the time was negotiating to take on a 25 year lease of the Paddock Mound site, commissioned CFP to prepare a maintenance & management plan for the site for a five year period. CFP published their report in July 2015.
Mercian Woodland Biodiversity Project
In September 2015 Ketley Parish Council decided not to take up the lease of the site. A memorandum of understanding between Telford & Wrekin Council, Ketley Parish Council and Friends of Ketley Paddock Mound now exists for the maintenance and management of the site. Meetings of this K.P.M. Management Group are now held quarterly with all three parties represented.
The action plan accompanying the management plan was updated in 2017, see below, and is now undergoing a review. The result will be published here.
